The type of tile:
Tile is a great option because it has a range of looks, materials, sizes, shapes and colors. It is incredibly durable and water-resistant, unlike hardwood floors which scratch easily and can warp and stain from water damage. Our Process

We often get asked about do it yourself installations. We typically recommend against DIY tile installations because to an untrained person, installations can be very time-consuming and risky when not completed by a professional. In kitchens and bathrooms, setting tile often take place over walled areas with water pipes beneath which can be damaged during an inexperienced installation.

Demolition
If this is a remodel, first we have to remove the old wall or floor material. We are ready to come in and remove your old flooring wall material, current backsplash or old tile and anything else that’s in the way of your new tile installation. First comes the demolition. Before we are able to install your new tile, whatever was there before has to go. We are experts in keeping our workspace clean during the demolition and disposal process and we will educate you on how to keep your personal items and furniture safe and protected if they are in our work area. For larger projects we will discuss trash removal with you so that your home or business it as mess-free as possible while we remodel your space.
Preparation
After all of the old material has been removed from our workspace, we begin preparation. The first part of the preparation phase is creating a strong and flat surface where we will set the tile. At this time, we solidify which tile foundation or substrate on which we will lay the new tile. The most common substrates are drywall concrete cement and plywood. The differences depend on how your house or business was built and what materials were used. Another determining factor is what types of tile we are getting ready to install. We ensure that the substrate is free from debris and perfectly clean so that when we lay the tile it adheres to the substrate with no issue.

Installation

Tile trowels are also important for smoothing out the mortar to ensure a perfectly flat, leveled, sticky finish to set the tile on. We use a tile leveling system and tile spacers to ensure that the tile are perfectly spaced and flat when the installation is complete.
